It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Lacher of Newton, Kansas, born in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, who passed away on August 30, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Stephen and Roberta Genevieve Kleber Lacher; and his brother Robert Lacher. He is survived by: his wife Karen Kaye Heine Cookson; his daughters, Cassandra Lacher of Colorado Springs and Erika Lacher of Denver, Colo.; and his siblings, Kenny Lacher of Phoenix, Ariz., Jerry Lacher of Rochester, Minn. and Debbie Johnson of Florida.
A memorial has been established with Caring Hands Humane Society and the Newton American Legion Post.
