It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois F Heintz (Newton, Kansas), born in Mitchell, South Dakota, who passed away on June 9, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustav Backlund and Gladys Backlund (Lowrie); her spouse Dean D Heintz; her son Vaughn; and her sister Delores Osborne.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joan Petersen, Jean Cherrington and Lynn Burgess; and her brother Charles Backlund. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or Salem United Methodist Church and Left with Petersen Funeral Home.
