He was predeceased by : his parents, George J. Rempel and Marie L. Rempel (Friesen); and his siblings, Herman, Pete, Eldon, Donald Rempel, Erma Kauffman and Helen Day.

He is survived by : his family, Michael, Ronald, Darren and Brian; his wife Phyllis Grunau of North Newton; his sons, Mike Rempel (Jamie) of Meade, Ron Rempel (Diane) of Enid, Darren Rempel (Sherry) of Hillsboro and Brian Rempel (Amy) of Overland Park, Kansas; his grandchildren, Grant Rempel (Chelsea) of Stillwater, Janae Rempel of Hillsboro, Stuart Rempel (Jhosy) of Nederland, Kaitlyn Rempel of Hillsboro, Kylie McCullough (John) of Wichita, Daniel Rempel of Meade and Max Rempel of Overland Park; his great grandchildren, Brooks and Gracie Rempel; and his siblings, Will, Edwin, Walter Rempel, Margaret Reimer, Marilyn Harms and Eileen Kaufman.
