She is survived by: her parents, William Hurd and Helen Hurd (Storer); her spouse Harvey Leroy "Murf" Murphy; her son Michael E. Murphy; her sister Nancy Eberhardt; her daughters, Pamela Heath (Thomas) and Kathleen Gomel; and her grandchildren, Joshua Heath, Christopher Heath (Ellie), Aaron Kraemer (Jess), Travis Gomel and Trisha Gomel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Olathe Hospice House and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
