He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cleon A. Bishop and Leatha Bishop (Breese); his former wives, Lois Ruth Abitz and Norma June Oberhelman; his wife Barbara Phillips of Onaga; his daughters, Lynnette Chard (Randy) of Palco, Janet Brown of Salina and Susan Schindler (Matthew) of Manhattan; and his siblings, Dorothy Cline of Onaga, Mary McDougal (Gerald) of Havensville, Helen Rose of Onaga and Glen Bishop (Sharon) of Rossville. He was also cherished by six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Duluth, Kansas Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina, Kansas, or Havensville Christian Church, Havensville, Kansas, or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
