She was predeceased by : her parents, Vicente Ortiz and Antonia Ortiz (DeJesus). She is survived by : her husband Ralph Groothuis of Osborne; her children, David Ortiz (Kathleen) of San Diego, CA, Alex Ortiz (Shannon) of California, Charlie Ortiz of California and Becky Ortiz of Indianapolis, IN; and her sisters, Merriam Ortiz-Burger of Florida and Vicki Ortiz of Florida. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
