With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virgie Irene Gilliland (Oswego, Kansas), born in Russell, Kansas, who passed away on April 5, 2020 at the age of 72. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Virgie Irene Gilliland to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, James Martin and Ola Mae Boyles (Moles). She is survived by : her husband Frank W. Gilliland; her daughters, Frankie Box (Roger II) of Columbus, KS and Dawn Gilliland of Oswego, KS; and her sister Betty Stoppel (Harold) of Hutchinson, KS. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the Oswego and/or Columbus Public Libraries.
