He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Don Holder and Doris H. Holder. He is survived by: his grandson Jayhawks of Kansas; his wife Carolyn; his children, Heather of Prairie Village and Christopher; and his grandsons, Sam of Ashburn, Virginia. and Luke of Ashburn, Virginia..

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a donation can be made in Don's name to the Alzheimer's Association, Mission Driven or the John Austin Cheley Foundation.
