She was predeceased by: her son Kyle Covell. She is survived by: her husband Kent Covell; her daughter Kamin Shafer (Mike); her grandsons, Koben, Deken and Logan; and her sister Claudia.
Memorial contributions may be made to Teton Science Schools in Jackson, Wyoming — an organization that held deep meaning for Gay and her late son, Kyle.
