He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Pennington and Maxine Pennington; his sister-in-law Jacklyn; and his nephew Jason Pennington. He is survived by: his brothers, Bradley Pennington (Dee) of McPherson, KS and Scott Pennington of Hutchinson, KS.. He is also survived by 2 nieces, 2 nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in Robert's name may be directed to the Special Olympics.
