He was predeceased by : his parents, John Adelhardt and Emma Adelhardt (Simon); his son Larry Adelhardt; his grandchildren, Rachel Adelhardt and Dal Schultz; and his siblings, Marcella Ford, Eleanor Zogelman, Alois, Eugene, Frederick and Elmer.

He is survived by : his wife Patricia R. Landwehr; his children, Cindy Hertel (Joe) of Ellis, Ronna Schultz (Doug) of Grainfield and Danny Adelhardt (Debi) of Wichita; his daughter-in-law Jackie Adelhardt of Nickerson; his grandchildren, Sara Britton (Kelly), Katie Closs (Evan), Abby Power (Keller), Larry (Jenifer), John, Joseph, Laurissa Adelhardt, Seri (Olivia), Drew Hertel (Megan), Cas (Ashley), Ty, Tyra Schultz and Reed Adelhardt; and his siblings, John (Linda) of Nashville and Rita of Cunningham. He is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID, masks are highly encouraged.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church or Gove County Long Term Care in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
