He was predeceased by : his parents, Alven Portenier and Rosa Portenier (McFarlane); his siblings, Connie Ann Roberts, Howard Lee Portenier and Alven Dean Portenier; his siblings-in-law, Sandra Kaye Portenier and Tom Jorgensen; and his nieces, Jeannie Kay Portenier and Tina Marie Schaben (Jorgensen).

He is survived by : his wife Patricia Diane Rogers; his daughters, Kristina Kaye, Linda Power (Mark) and Kristi Monroe (Terry); his sister Marjorie Jorgensen; his siblings-in-law, Elaine Portenier and George Roberts (Marla); his grandchildren, Summer, Joshua, Breana and Meghan; and his great grandchild Chase.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alma Free Methodist Church or Agra American Legion.
