With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Dorothy A. Hanke (Phillipsburg, Kansas), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bach and Helen Bach; her husband Wayne; her sister Donna (Roger Robison); her parents-in-law, Oscar and Louise Hanke; her brother-in-law Orville (Freda); her grandson Steve Bradley; and her great grandchildren, Angel Yocum, Dusty Yocum and Jaymes Bradley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dawn Bradley (George) of Topeka, Debbie Beckman (Ray) of Salina, Dee Yocum (Johnny) of Prairie View and Darcie Van Allen (Doug) of Phillipsburg; her grandchildren, Shawn Bradley (Rachel), Cari Bradley, Jerry Bradley (Ronda), John Bradley (Kim), Jennifer Murphy-Bradley, Jennifer Beckman, Jerilynn Weisshaar (Jeron), Jon Yocum (Summer), Joni Yocum, Joell Wagenblast (Chad), Bryce Van Allen (Jeanni), Brandon Van Allen (Hannah), Brodie Van Allen (Becca) and Larissa Hueftle (Jeremy); her great grandchildren, Tucker, Lucas Bradley, Kennedy, Maddux, Landry, Rowan Weisshaar, Briely Yocum (Kacie), Gunner Yocum (Maddy), Mia, Ky Wagenblast, Lucus, Alex, Natalie, Vanessa Van Allen, Theron Van Allen, Austin, Elise and Ellison Billeter; her great great grandchildren, Amy Yocum, Tobi and Monroe Yocum; and her nieces and nephews, Rodney Robison (Tami), Ricky Robison (Vicki), Rachelle Leggett (Mark), Forrest Hanke (Belinda) and Christine Cloern (Kenneth). She is also survived by 10 step great grandchildren, and 7 step great, great grandchildren.
The lying in state was held on Sunday, May 24th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel (1115 2nd St, Phillipsburg, KS 67661). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church (355 Main St, Stuttgart, KS 67661).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Phillips County Retirement Center.
