He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Louis Sr. and Bernice Stroup (Tonnies). He is survived by: his spouses, Peggy S. Martin and Corene Stroup; his son Brad Stroup (Angie) of Lenexa, KS; his grandchildren, Carly and Sara Stroup; his daughter Kim Wells (Brad) of Lenexa, KS; his grandchildren, Kristin and Josh Wells; his brother Lawrence "Larry" Stroup (Lorna) of Overland Park, KS.; his stepdaughter Mindy Kuplen (Steve) of Mulberry, KS; his stepgrandchildren, Chet, Molly Kuplen, Marianne O'Nelio (Gary) of Pittsburg, KS, John and Alex O'Nelio; his stepsons, Jon Kreissler of Pittsburg, KS and Tom Kreissler (Cara) of Helena; and his stepgrandchildren, Will and Emory Kreissler. He is also survived by his kids, grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial donations to KU Endowment to benefit KU Track and Field in Louie's memory or S.E.K. Humane Society.
