He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Myrl Hix and Helen Hix (Tabler); his significant other Joan; his pet Carly Sue; his children, Dana Hummell of Overland Park, Jean Viloria (Robert) of Lawrence and Bryan of Lenexa; his brother Clifford; his sister-in-law Judy of Pittsburg; his sons, John and David Hix; and his sister Helen Stroud (Bob). He was also cherished by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
