He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Joe" Johnson Sr and Zora Johnson (O'Banion); and his stepfather Arzie O'Banion. He is survived by: his siblings, Ed Maskal (Connie) of Baxter Springs, Butch Maskal of Baxter Springs, Russell Johnson, Greg Johnson and Sherri Paxson (John).
