It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald D. York of Pittsburg, Kansas, who passed away on October 29, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter York and Nellie York (Eddington); and his siblings, Harold York, Herschell York, Ruth Hitchcock of Marie Good, Robert York and Jim York.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley M. Smith; and his children, Audrey Dietz (Tom), Saundra Dietz (Darrel), Jerry York (Mariann), Jeff York (Melissa), Brent York (Mary Ann) and Ruth Gazaway (Brian). He is also survived by 15 grandkids.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
