She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin O. Dowty and Georgia D. Dowty (Ogan); her spouse Benne Pentola; her siblings, Melvin, Ronald, Dean Dowty, Frances McGonagle, Wilma "Kate" Shippy and Louise Martin; and her great grandchildren, Jaylin Evans and Gianna Palmer.

She is survived by: her children, Vincent Pentola (Patricia) of Pittsburg, David Pentola (Tonya) of Carthage, Missouri, Janice Evans (John) of Pittsburg and Marsha Palmer (Bob) of Frontenac; her grandchildren, Adam Pentola, Brad Pentola, Jodi Scearce, Jared Evans, Jessica McDonald, Aaron Palmer, Emily Pentola and Bryan Woodruff; and her great grandchildren, Alex Pentola, Trevor Pentola, Joey Pentola, Anthony Pentola, Sonny Pentola, Hunter Scearce, Averie Hinton, Tavin Evans, Zain Evans, Josie Mae Palmer, Liam Palmer, Annie Palmer, Indie Palmer, Henry McDonald and Benne McDonald.

The family suggests memorials be given to the Ronald McDonald House of Joplin in memory of her great-granddaughters.
