He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Burton and Winnie Cato Burton; his wife Mildred Gleason; his granddaughter Heather Huff; his son Arnold Burton; and his siblings, Aileen Stewart, Cathryn Crase, Barbara Burton, Adrith Morton, Allen Burton, Melvin Burton and Kenneth Burton.
He is survived by: his children, Wynema Glidewell of Columbia, MO, Millie Jane Spencer of Pittsburg, Martha Burton of Pittsburg and Roger Burton of Pittsburg; and his sister Louise Robertson. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial has been established in lieu of flowers to the St. Jude's Hospital or the Alzheimer's Foundation in care of the funeral home.
