With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Edwin Thomas Jr. (Pittsburg, Kansas), who passed away on July 27, 2019 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edwin and Olive Thomas (Boswell); and his sisters, Wilma Carleno and Mary Gauldin. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Shannon; his sons, James W. Thomas (Laurel) of Edmond, OK and Timothy E. Thomas (Patti) of Pittsburg, KS; his grandchildren, Joanna, Jake, Timothy, David, Shannon and Jonathon Thomas; and his great grandchildren, Bailey, Coley, Keely, Gracie, Tyler and Asher Thomas.
In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the James and Shirley Thomas Scholarship Fund.
