He was predeceased by: his parents, John Andrew and Marie Jeanette Switlik (Every); and his brothers, John Andrew Switlik, Bernard Thomas Switlik and Stephen Joseph Switlik.
He is survived by: his former husband Shaun L. Newell; his wife Bobbi Jean Timmons; his son Luke Andrew Switlik; his stepchildren, Christian Hyde of Pittsburg, Marion Hyde of Pittsburg and Elyse Rodaway of Girard; his siblings, Raymond Switlik (Jacque) of Bonbrook, Robert Switlik of Baxter Springs, Roch Switlik of SanFransisco, CA, Janet Bolin of Baxter Springs, Christine Barnes (Terry) of Pittsburg, Claire Peak (Richard) of Pittsburg and Sara "Sally" Riddle (Kipp) of Pittsburg; and his stepgrandchildren, Addison Prettyman and Ashlynn Jones.
In lieu of flowers family suggests contributing to a memorial fund for Luke's education.
