It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Garner Sr. of Pittsburg, Kansas, born in Miami, Oklahoma, who passed away on November 16, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess F. Garner and Myrtle V. Garner (Bradbury); and his siblings, Jim, Jerry Garner and Virginia Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Garner; his children, John Garner, Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri, Bernice Wintrow of Greenville, Johna Sainsbury of Toolee, Tonya Christensen, Bryna Mason of Broken Arrow and Wendy Schaub of Blanchard, Oklahoma; his stepchildren, Troy Aikman of Pittsburg and Shelly Aikman-Serage of Grove, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Richard Garner of Baxter Springs, Kansas and Ruby Power of Miami, Oklahoma. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be given to the SEK Humane Society Spay and Neuter program.
