He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Rodabaugh and Anna Mae Westerlin Rodabaugh; his sister Roberta Hurlbert; and his stepson Tom Gage II. He is survived by: his wife Hope Hall Gage; his daughter Johanna Strum (Joshua) of Walnut, Kansas; his stepsons, Troy Gage (Barbara) of Columbus and Jason Gage (Melissa) of Louisburg; his grandchildren, Tommy, Pixie, Brayden, Danielle, Johnathan, Bryce, Devin, Brock, Danny and Deacon; and his daughter-in-law Donna Gage.
