He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Bishop (Bert) and Rose Bishop (Guion); and his siblings, Dorothy, Norma, Betty, Lois and Herbert, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Bishop of Pittsburg, KS; his children, Jon Bishop (Mary) and Brooke Spillman; his grandchildren, Bodee Guion-Hughes, Luke Spillman, Maddie Bishop, Brandon Bishop, William Bishop and Robert Phillips; his brothers, Floyd Bishop (Jan) of Neodesha and Jim Bishop (Judy) of Perry; and his sister-in-law Dr. Gloria Flynn (Pat) of Pittsburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorothy, Norma, Betty, and Lois; brother, Herbert, Jr. Services are not planned at this time due to Covid19, but will be announced at a later date.

The family suggests memorials be given to the Pittsburg USD #250 Educational Foundation.
