He was predeceased by: his parents, William Filby and Sarah Mae Filby (Mummert); his wife Betty Scott; his brothers, LaMonte and John Ray; his sister-in-law Dorothy Bennett; his nephew Steve Scott; and his niece Cathy Ward.
He is survived by: his children, Wilma Wehmeyer (Ron) of Pittsburg and Kenneth Filby (Linda) of Pittsburg, Kan.; his brother-in-law Neal Scott (Shirley) of Weir, Kan.; and his grandchildren, Rhonda Phillips, Carla Wehmeyer, Melissa McGuire, Jennifer Dickinson, Brianna Filby and Kevin Filby. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; five nieces and nephews.
