He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wayne Sr. and Nora Pickel (Skelton); and his siblings, W. W. Pickel, Jr. (Bill), Donald Bruce Pickel, Margaret Davis and Sarah Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Entrekin; his daughter Denise Calloway (Terry) of Pittsburg; and his siblings, W. Earl Pickel of Beaufort and Elizabeth Guerry (Lib) of West Columbia.
The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
