It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Christopher Ortiz (Pittsburg, Kansas), who passed away on March 18, 2020, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Lilia Ortiz (Muñoz). He is survived by: his father Antonio Ortiz of Pittsburg; and his siblings, Donna A. Ortiz of Bossier City, LA, Edward A. Ortiz of Lawrence, KS, Joseph M. Ortiz of Lawrence, KS and Brian J. Ortiz of Pittsburg.
The family suggests memorials be given to the Pittsburg State University Cross Country and Track and Field programs in care of Russ Jewett.
