He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Courtois and Freda Johnson Courtois; and his wife Margie Jean Orton. He is survived by: his children, Richard E. Courtois II (Janelle), Lisa Degrande and Jeannie Anderson (Terry); and his sister Charlene Allison (Jerry). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
