Janet (Burden) Holman Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet (Burden) Holman (Prairie Village, Kansas), who passed away on November 2, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, James Burden (Esli) and Betty Burden; her husband Joseph Holman; her children, Kate (Justin Serrano) and Jeff (Renee); and her grandchildren, Rosetta, Vivien, Hazel, Lucille and Walter.

Janet demonstrated admirable strength and grace in recent years as she said goodbye to Joe, stayed connected to family near and far throughout the pandemic, and navigated health challenges.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to The Village Church Endowment or St. Luke's Hospice House: 3516 Summit St. KC, MO 64111.

Phyllis Sullivan wrote a sympathy message

“To the family of Janet and Joe Holman, It was with great sorrow that my we saw the notice of Janet's passing. We also were saddened by Joe's death in 2019. Janet and I attended Emporia State Teacher's College together and rediscovered each other when our husband's were young attorney's. We had many fun times together and even enjoyed a fresh fish dinner at the cabin in Colorado. Through the years we remained friends and always enjoyed being together. Love, Phyllis and Kent Sullivan”
