She was predeceased by : her parents, Rose Mears and Elmer Mears; her husband Bill; her brother Dr. Elmer Mears Jr.; her sister-in-law Betty Lou Mears; and her nephew Elmer "Bub" Mears III.

She is survived by : her children, Bill, Linda Hussey of Goodyear, AZ, Susan Hall of Frisco, TX and Lisa Reinhard of Jacksonville, FL; and her nieces, Rosemary MacMath, Peggy Gould and Robin Metroka. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
