He was predeceased by: his parents, Arley Ernest Jontra and Violet Theresa Jontra (Fagan); his wife Kay Ann Sheets; and his brother Melvin Jontra. He is survived by: his daughter Carole Jontra; his siblings, Marlin Jontra, Larry Van Horn and Millie Dravo; his sister-in-law Mary Kay Jontra; and his stepsisters, Sue Adams and Kay Williams. He is also survived by two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rossville American Legion Post No. 31 of Rossville, Kansas, may be sent in care of Piper Funeral Home.
