It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer W. Maier of Russell, Kansas, who passed away on March 11, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elmer W. Maier to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Maier and Lydia Maier (Lohmann); his wife Hilda I. Funk; and his siblings, Walter, Marvin Maier, Luella and Lucille Maier.
He is survived by: his children, Twila Allen of Greensburg, Pauletta Scheck of Ellinwood and Dana Maier (April) of Salina, Kansas; and his siblings, Sidney Maier (Patricia) of Minneola and Elzina Scott of Russell, Kansas. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Memorials may be given to the Russell County Food Pantry and sent in care of the mortuary.
