It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Kathryn Applegate in Russell, Kansas, born in Seattle, Washington, who passed away on August 16, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Arthur Brown and Lucille Brown; and her husband Wayne. She is survived by : her children, Stephanie Schneider (John) of Albert Lea, Ryan Applegate (Corinne) of Albert Lea and Daniel Applegate (Esther) of Edwards, CO; her grandchildren, Zachery, Maddie Schneider, Gianna, Weston Applegate of Albert Lea, Isabel, D'Artagnan and Griffin Applegate of Edwards, CO; her siblings, Larry Brown (JoAnn) of Minneapolis, MN, Ken Brown (Lynn) of Punta Gorda, FL and Bonnie Grieger of Maple Grove, MN; and her siblings-in-law, Jack Applegate (Barbara) of Osborne, KS, Ruth Riley (Richard) of Valley Falls, KS, Nancy Lundy of Hays, KS and Kristine Lawson (Kevin) of Sapulpa, OK. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Albert Lea Assembly of God Church, Albert Lea Youth for Christ, or United Way.
