She was predeceased by : her parents, Martin VerBrugge and Joanna VerBrugge Jr. (Hyde); her son Scott Marcellus; her brothers, Jan and Jerry VerBrugge; and her pet Stella.

She is survived by : her husband Lyle Fisher; her son Bradley J. Marcellus Tonganoxie (Michelle A.); her brother Jon VerBrugge (Jeannie); her daughter-in-law Linda L. Marcellus (Warsaw); her grandchild Trini Tygret of Peculiar, MO; and her great grandchildren, Brandon Tygret and Kaylee Brownfield. She is also survived by four nieces, and one nephew.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations in her name to the Leavenworth County Humane Society.
