She was predeceased by: her parents, A. J. "Pete" Stitt and Jane McRae Stitt; and her grandfather Thomas. She is survived by: her husband John; her sons, Brett (Wendy) and Bart (Paula); her grandchildren, Brock, Whitney, Bryce and Maryssa; her great grandchildren, Maverick, Gentry, Lily, Charlie, Brandon and Bodhi; her sister Arlene Jane Duren (Floyd); her brother-in-law Floyd; and her sibling's children, Claudine and Dave.
Kay suffered for many years with dementia and Alzheimer's disease, however that did not define who she was.
