It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Mergenmeier of Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Mergenmeier and Stella Mergenmeier (Lierz); his children, Jacqueline and James; and his siblings, Melvin Mergenmeier, Rosie McMurphy, Marie Catherine Welch and Dorothy Mae Koch.
He is survived by: his wife Nadine; his children, Willie Mergenmeier (Shirley), Jan Hinterweger (Jim), Andy Mergenmeier (Becky), Montpelier and Sue Flach (Mat); and his sisters, Eleanor Rusche and Jeanette Graham. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Capper Foundation, (Individual Support Systems, the organization that provided care for Jim joined Cappers in 2012) or Brewster Foundation.
