She was predeceased by: her parents, Lutze Poltera and Vi Poltera (Shelton); and her husband Roth Gatewood. She is survived by: her children, Greg Mills (Edye), Steven Mills, Mary Boatwright (Mac), Matthew Gatewood, Arthur Mills (Andrea) and Adam Gatewood (Nan); and her grandchildren, Thomas Boatright, Margot Boatright, Allison Gatewood, Joseph Mills, Lindsey Mills, Darren Mills and Cory Mills. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mount Hope Cemetery (4700 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel (4700 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604). A graveside service was held on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mount Hope Cemetery (4700 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604).
