She was predeceased by: her parents, Tomas Carreno and Guadalupe Carreno (Rodriguez); her husband Guillermo "Memo" Mendoza; her granddaughter Nikki Mendoza; her son-in-law Robert "Bobby" Gomez; and her grandson-in-law Todd Moss.
She is survived by: her children, Anna M. Finlay, Eleanor M. Bruch, Vita Jo Gomez, Evelyn M. Howard (Jerry) and Rene "Randy" L. Mendoza (Chris); her grandchildren, Quinn, Cameron, Marisa, Melissa, Keli, Michele, Marla of Jarred, Dain, Alaina and Angelo; and her sister Helen Hidalgo. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Brennan Mathena Funeral Home (800 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66603). A rosary was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (801 SW Westchester Rd, Topeka, KS 66606).
