He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Epke and Paula Epke (Gocke); his brothers, Wayne and Rex Epke; and his sister-in-law Lois Epke.
He is survived by: his wife Sherri Johnson; his stepchildren, Deanna Hutsen (Shiloah) of Topeka, Cristi Beyer (Chane) of Silver Lake and Luke Johnson (Cassie) of Topeka; and his sister Karen of Nebraska. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
