He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Byron Lavern and Thelma Ahrens (Cawsley); his wife Frances C. McCabe; his children, Pam Walstrom (Denny) of Topeka and Robert Ahrens of Riverside, CA; his grandchildren, Kevin Walstrom (Amy) of Prairie Village, KS and Kelly Walstrom of Topeka; his great grandchildren, Danielle Spence (Ben Adair), Claire Walstrom, Jacob Spence and Megan Walstrom; his brother Jerry Ahrens; and his pet Shadow.
