She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Chouest and Frauke Seiz Chouest; and her sister Heike Chouest. She is survived by: her siblings, Alan Chouest (Sandra), Claudia Chouest and Christine Poole (Kevin). She is also survived by two nephews and a niece.
