He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert L. Simon and Mary L. Simon (Berning); his parents-in-law, Clair and Iona Dierks; his siblings-in-law, Steve Wells, Mark Dierks, Harold Dierks, Mike Ritter and Patty Dierks; and his nephew Hans Dierks.
He is survived by : his wife Jana Mae Dierks; his children, Paul Simon, Amber Stevens and AJ Simon; and his sisters, Jean Wells of Marienthal, Diana (Todd Long) and Connie (Darren McRae). He is also survived by eight Grandchildren.
