She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan B. Myers and Ruth E. Myers (Tanner); her husband Henry E. Young Sr.; her sister Christina Rae Hemme; her sons-in-law, Robert, Bill and Ron; and her grandson Christopher "Chris" Wells.

She is survived by: her children, Katherine Watt, Cherry Shortnacy, Gene Young (Anita), Sandra McKee and Sue Wells (Karl); and her sister Christa Kay Campbell. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Resthaven Mortuary (11800 US-54, Wichita, KS 67209). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Betty's name has been established with: Manhattan Christian College, 1415 Anderson Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
