It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary Joseph Schnoebelen (Wichita, Kansas), who passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer N. Schnoebelen and Marguerite Schnoebelen (Merklin); his grandparents, Omer F., Eda Schnoebelen, Ray and Grace Merklin; his sister-in-law Vada Schnoebelen; his niece Shelly Waddell; his nephews, Gregory Omer Schnoebelen and Kent Paul Schnoebelen; and also, Willis and Mary Martha Brown (Stuber).
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Bryan of Medford, OR and Heather of Nashville, TN; the mother of his children LeAnn Latta of Hendersonville, NC; his children, Barry Purdy (Joani) of Wichita and Tami Jagels (Richard) of Manhattan, KS; his grandchildren, Hailey Purdy, Natalie Purdy, Reese Meng, Cooper Meng and Graysen Jagels; and his siblings, Jim Schnoebelen of Woodward, OK, Tim Schnoebelen (Karen) of Mooreland, OK and Liane Gaston (Bob) of Edmond, OK. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Downing & Lahey East Mortuary (6555 E Central Ave, Wichita, KS 67206). A rosary will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Magdalen Catholic Church (12626 E 21st St N, Wichita, KS 67206). A Mass will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
