It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwynne Lee VanScoyk (Wichita, Kansas), born in Hays, Kansas, who passed away on September 19, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Donovan Lyle and Virginia Lee Gatewood (Hance); and her brother Don Gatewood. She is survived by: her husband Gary VanScoyk; her children, Dr. Stefany Van Scoyk and Jennifer VanScoyk; her brother Stephen Michael FitzJames; and her grandchildren, Austyn Dion and Izaiah Hockett. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be designated to: St. Mary's University for the The Patrick Reilly and Margaret Hoferer Reilly Endowed Nursing Scholarship (Leavenworth, Kansas) or to The Lawrence Humane Society, (Lawrence, Kansas).
