He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Jesse R., Francis E. Farris, Clyde C. and Elsie M. Ward. He is survived by: his son Lyric Austin Ward; his parents, Clyde Lee Ward and Janet Sue Ward; his siblings, Jennifer Lynn Basch (Brian Basch), Kelly Renee Crain (Mark Crain) and Clifton Ryan Ward; his siblings' children, Katherine, Miles, Cole, Owen, Olivia and Ainslee; and his cousins, Tina, Kayiden and Kataliyna. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home - St. Paul (403 Main St, St Paul, KS 66771). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
