He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Shirley Gay; his children, Leroy (Rhonda Gay), Terry (Holly Allen Terrell), Joshua Terrell and Tresa Gay (Cierra Gay); and his siblings, Larry (Deloma Gay), Dennis (Cynthia Gay), Velma (Darrel Monroe), Allen (Kerri Collins Gay), Marlo Moton, Stephanie Christain and Tammie Gay.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jackson Mortuary Chapel (1125 E 13th St N, Wichita, KS 67214).
