With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marjorie Ann Matthews (Wichita, Kansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 1, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon J. Schmidt and Martha Gladys Schmidt; her husband Ronald L. Matthews; and her brothers, David Schmidt and Arvid Schmidt.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Kim Michele Matthews and Mark Matthews (Vicki); her brother Ronald Schmidt (Linda); and her nieces, Erica Frans (Stephen), Marla Schmidt and Cheryl Dunn (Shaun).
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Downing & Lahey East Mortuary (6555 E Central Ave, Wichita, KS 67206).
A memorial has been established with: Heartspring, 8700 E. 29th Street North, Wichita, KS 67226. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Marjorie Ann Matthews 's name.
