She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Rusk and Alma Rusk; her husband Grant Tolberd; her brother Jerry Rusk; her brothers-in-law, Wendell Fleming and Robert Probach; and her granddaughter Sarah Steel.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Steel (Douglas) of Lawrence, KS, Janet Brennan of Kansas City, MO and Jeffrey Tolberd (Liz Ann) of Wichita, KS; her granddaughter Elizabeth Goss (Deric) of Shell Knob, MO; her children, Melissa Bourgeois (Justin) of Bellevue, NE, William Steel (Jin) of Melissa, TX, Adam Brennan (Amber) of Smithville, MO, Allison Young (Steven) of Columbia, MO, Menley Brennan of Seattle, WA, Ellie Tolberd Brown (Johnny), North, Jonathan Tolberd of Pittsburg, KS and Olivia Tolberd of Lee's Summit, MO; her siblings, J. Darlene Cox, Robert Rusk (Dian) of Wichita and Kenneth Rusk (Elaine) of Wichita; and her sisters-in-law, Marjory Fleming of Mankato, MN and JoAnn Probach of Mankato, MN. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Downing & Lahey East Mortuary (6555 E Central Ave, Wichita, KS 67206). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery (1208 N College St, Winfield, KS 67156).
A memorial has been established with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
