We are sad to announce that on April 6, 2024, at the age of 96, Virginia Mae Lacy (Wichita, Kansas), born in Red Oak, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Virginia Mae Lacy to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Arvid Landstrom and Hulda Landstrom; her husband Robert Lacy; and her children, Terri Baumert, Mary Hartigan and Tom Lacy.

She is survived by : her children, Pat Lacy (Susan) of Omaha, NE, Susan Coleman of Wichita, KS and Nancy Taylor of Wichita, KS; and her children-in-law, Rich Baumert of Dodge, NE, Daniel Hartigan and Doreen Lacy of Lee Summit, MO.. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A rosary was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (1321 N Stratford St, Wichita, KS 67206). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

A memorial has been established with St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1321 N. Stratford, Wichita, KS 67206.

“I have been friends with her son Pat for more than half a century. I have spent countless hours at the Lacy home over the years. Mrs. Lacy is one of the kindest most caring individuals i have ever known. Over all the years I never heard a single harsh word come out of her mouth. She simply was not capable of saying anything unkind. It is a beautiful thought to know that she is reunited with her children Terri, Tom and Mary, and that she will be looking over the three left behind from heaven.”
